George Chris Chotas passed away May 30, 2010 after a brave battle with cancer. George was a native of Atlanta born July 8, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Mary Chotas. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Penny Chotas; son, Christopher G. Chotas; sister, Angie Naddra; sister and brother in law, Betsie and Jackie Leach of Daytona Beach, FL; and brother, James Chotas of New York; also numerous nieces and nephews. George was a well respected 42 year veteran of the wine industry. The family will receive friends Wednesdat, June2, 2010, at H.M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd. , Sandy Springs , GA 30328 ; from 4 o'clock until 7:30 PM. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm in the chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Atlanta, 2500 Clairmont Rd. , Atlanta , 30329. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park . The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the American Cancer Society Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Atlanta or Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, Marietta, GA.
