Elizabeth "Betty" (Hein) Weisman passed away on June 4 in Orlando, Florida. Born December 24, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she is predeceased by her parents, Alice (Jones) Hein and Leonel H. Hein. She is survived by by her two children, Amy Weisman and Julie McAlee, daughters of Henry "Hank" Weisman, and her two brothers, Fred W. Hein Sr, of Valdosta, GA and Charles E. Hein of Monroe GA. A graduate of University of Georgia with a Master's degree from Florida State University, Betty taught in the Leon County School system in Tallahassee until her retirement.She was a member of Temple Israel in Tallahassee, and she had a lifelong compassion for animals. Her neighborhood knew her for the daily walks she took with her dog. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Central Florida (orlandopets.org).
