MARY WESLEY GASH

I graduated from UGA in 1965 with a BSED.
Jimmy and I were married in 1965 and we lived in Fayetteville,NC for 3 1/2 years. While Jimmy was serving in the Air Force, I taught 1st grade at Fort Bragg.
In 1968, we moved to Athens where Jimmy got his MBA and our first child, Jim, was born. After a year in Athens, we moved to St. Simons Island where I am happy to say we have lived ever since.
Happy Years..we had two more children..Wes and Maggie. Den mother..Brownie leader..teaching Sunday School...When all of our children were in school, I went back to teaching and got my Masters Degree..Busy Times!
I retired after teaching for 20 years. We are now enjoying retirement and being grandparents to our 7 grandchildren. Great Fun!

How lucky we were to have had those 5 years at Grady! Good friends, teachers, and activities. Everything we needed to make us what we are today.
I have had a great time going back and looking at the Orators...the pictures..what people wrote..
I would have really enjoyed revisiting our senior year..but that is the only yearbook I don't have!
Looking forward to seeing you in May. Many thanks to those who have worked so hard to make all the arrangements for the reunion.
